this is sick. you should put down this poor animal to see if it wants your affections or if it runs away. It is not fair to the squrrel, it has no say in the whole thing. And to teach your kid things like this is sick, sick, sick.
This isn't me, it's a video I got off YouTube. But I don't think it's sick. That squirrel probably has a pretty good life and it's not going to get run over or eaten by raccoons or something horrible like that. It can put up with a few kisses.
Thank you for defending my love for Squirrelly. It is mutual affection;0) You are right.... If she were a regular old squirrel outdoors, she probably would be eaten by another animal, killed by back woods Floridians who eat squirrels, die of disease (she has a vet), poisoned or hit by a car. It is funny how silly people get over a 'rodent' being kept in captivity. She is much more in life now than just an outdoor varmint. She is a loved and overly-well-cared-for squirrel.
Have you seen my video of her drinking her bottle? It gets a lot of rediculous comments as well.
These are animal photos that I enjoy looking at. Sometimes they are stunning works of photographic art and sometimes they are snapshots. Most fall between the two though.
I use my own photos and also photos from flickr that people have given permission for people to use on their blogs.
If you click on the photo, you'll be taken to the flickr page for that photo where you can read the photographer's comments and see their other work.
