Our cat Mintyfresh in a reflective moment. This was taken out the window of our old house in the the Mojave Desert.
The little building you can see outside is the original homestead building for the property. The government used to give out five acre parcels out here to anyone who would build on them. Most people built the absolute minimum structure, so when you drive around the High Desert it's dotted with these little tiny shacks that are falling apart. Most houses out there are built onto the shacks and just kind of grew (known as a "builtmore") but in our case the shack was used for storage and they built a nicer new house.
